| Hey all,
I don't really have much to post about, so let's bulletpoint :)
- Have applied to uni again, hopefully there will be no surprises this year. - Have got a couple of resits on the 22nd and 24th of this month. - Am trying to get a bunch of money owed to me sorted out, probably over 300 quid >.< - Have the band sorted out more or less, am sorting out practise sessions for the start of Feb. The band name is "Pay The Lay". - Me and Tom are going to London to go shopping, but Tom asked Matt and Chris to come which has annoyed me a bit. Chris and Matt don't care about fashion, guitars or literature. They'll just be bored and annoying whilst we're trying to shop. - I think someone thinks we're going out...but we're not! Haha.
Here's a random picture from Birmingham:

...and here's some from my mate Matt's Xmas Party:

Hehe, hope everyone's ok, comment me saying how you are doing :)
Love Nick.

| Holla,
I really want to go to the Love Music, Hate Racism fundraiser on the 30th November in London but I've noone to go with! Tis £16 and The View, Babyshambles and Metro Riots are playing with loads of other bands too, Noisettes aswell I think. 8pm - 3am would be a top night too! I've booked the night off work just in case I can get someone to go with. Holla back if you can help a brother, word.
Anywho, here's a ranom quiz and some photo's for your faces.
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? So, here's how it works: 1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc) 2. Put it on shuffle 3. Press play 4. For every question, type the song that's playing 5. When you go to a new question, press the next button 6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool..
Opening Credits: Beastie Boys - Ch-Check It Out
Waking Up Damian Marley - There For You
First Day At School: The Pogues - The Gentlemen Soldier

| Just doing a random update:
- Got the Xmas Temp job at Gamestation which is great. It's better money than KFC and WAY better perks. 20-30% off everything? YES PLEASE! I can also borrow whatever I like...which I'm already taking advantage of...

- Have reached the milestone of over 70 pounds lost. I'm feeling great for it too. I gave Martin a hug yesterday (he's my shift runner at KFC) and he said "shit, you have lost weight". But even better, an old crush of mine, Gemma, came into work and said "holy shit Nick, you've lost a lot of weight, you look great". Which made me feel woooonderful, as you can imagine.
 Dynamic, right?
- I've got a temporary drummer sorted for my band, so when Emma, the bassist, gets back from Italy we can start practising :) Not a moment too soon either.
- Went out the other night and I started backcombing my hair and it went freaking huge. Then the DJ played Heart in a Cage by The Strokes so I started singing and dancing and he said "looks like we got a dead ringer for Julian Casablancas at the front here!" about 2 minutes after I'd put my jacket on, stating "how much do I look like I should be in the Strokes right now?". Needless to say, that made my night, even if I don't look like him :P
That's about all I have to say really, so not a great deal has gone down really...my folks are away at the moment, for another week I think and I'm pretty sure there's a party going down here on Sat, but I ain't sure. Anyway, here's a picture from last night walking home from work to finish:

No, I won't LJ cut, I'm lazy and rarely post, so deal :P
Peace all,

| Hey all,
Man, I've got a bitching week lined up. Tonight I'm going to see Babyshambles (3rd time I've seen them...is it getting obsessive?) with Tom and Matt. Should be a quality night, really want to see them do the Blinding again.
Then, tomorrow, I'm leaving for a week in Prague! BOOM!
Catch you all when I get back, leave me something to read :)

| OK. I'm drunk now, but let me get this off my chest.
So no matter what I try, I can't get a girl who's interested in me as a person. Since I've lost a shit load of weight, alot more people have taken interest in me. In the last few months I've turned down sex for 4 people, which is more than the rest of my life. Hahaha. Basically, how is it so hard to find a girl who's interested in me as a person and who loves me?
I'm a virgin, but of out choice! That's an important fact. It's not like I'm a virgin because I've no choice. It's strange, I always thought I'd leap at the chance to have sex. Thankfully, people have been understanding of this (no names mentioned). But why don't the girl who I find attractive as people like me?
It's shit.
I'm drunk anyways. I'm surprised this post has been readable...if it has at least! Mmmm Rolo icecream!!! YUMMY.
Would you like me? Generally?
Ah, random love seeking when you're drunk is shocking.
Love you all,
Nick. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |
| Yo,
Just came back from the pub, was an open mic night and I did a couple of songs. First time I've played infront of a crowd and whilst one song (The Libertines - France), went down like a brick, Oasis - The Importance of Being Idle got the best reception of any song that night, by anyone. The whole bar shut up and listened and I got a huge applause, I was amazed. I've only been playing 7.5 months and to get that was hugely satisfying.
Anyways, I need some new songs to play, ones with impact. Need to be acoustic with vocals. Thinking about maybe doing some Stereophonics, any suggestions?
Oh man, Sunday is going to rock. Babyshambles AND Juniper, I think so ;) Can't wait, I need a snuggle :)

| Hey all,
just decided to do a proper update about my 18th and such, seeing as it was such a great time :)
Well, I went shopping with my brother on my actual birthday, had a wicked time. Normally me and my brother bicker about things, usually musical opinion I guess (because I don't like The Smiths :P), but it was wicked. All day we just talked shit to each other, in a good way. Went to Birmingham because I was in search of jeans and a blazer for the next day (my party). After trying on about 15 pairs of jeans, I finally got one that fit properly. So freakin annoying, some 36's were too small, then some 38's were too big...in the end I bought a pair of 34's! Had no luck with the jacket though. I tried on a Christian Dior jacket in a vintage shop but man, the guy must've been a weird shape! The arms were too short but it was massive on the chest!
Well after finally buying some jeans that fit (happily in the sale) I bought a white belt and then we headed for lunch. We went to a place called the Gourmet Burger Company...now, to say these are burgers is a little bit of a falsehood. Try "Cow Between Bread". Mmmm, with stilton :)
We tried shopping some more but we didn't get anything. Mike almost bought a jumper, but in the end he decided against it. Shame, it was pimp.
Anyways, we headed back home and I was given my present off my folks :) Ibanez PGM301 :O Sexiest thing EVER! I didn't get much chance to play it that day though (7th July) as we had to go back out. Ashy popped down to give me my card (using her recently earned license). Then we all headed out to get some chinese :) Was lubberly. At dinner though, Mike gave me my birthday present...iPod Nano! Hell yeah ^___^
Anyways, skipping to the next day (just fill in the blanks with bottles of wine and you'll get the idea), I got up pretty early to play on my guitar and such. Ashy called me and she came down and we headed to Rob's house to make sure he was coming of the night. Turns out he couldn't stay long because of work but I'm glad he came at all. We got back a little late which was annoying seeing as I was going to get my hair cut :O Shocking eh? Anyways, I've had it cut, I'll update in a bit with a picture when I've had a shower.
People started arriving at mine at 4 (Tom, Matt and Ashy) and we chilled out playing Metal Slug 3 waiting for people to arrive. I got dressed in my new jeans, a linen shirt and a blazer. Looked pretty fly (well, I must've done, you'll know why later :O). People started properly arriving about 7, because of work or whatever they were getting there late. We cranked up the music (starting with Jurassic 5 I think) and all started drinking and eating chilli :)
Hours of fun pass with much joy and happiness. Loads of people I asked on a whim turned up so that was awesome. By about 1 some people had started to filter away and me and Jules had to carry Ashy home because she was so pissed >.< Me, Nick, Emma, Ryan, Tom, Kez, Matt, Mike and Gemma ended up down by the pond, chatting and drinking. Ryan, Nick, Emma had to leave, so the rest of us were taking it easy.
All night I'd been getting on well with Gemma and she was sitting on my lap (I fancied Gemma years back but was shot down, booo) and somehow, we ended up kissing properly. ^___^ Text her today and we're going to hang out sometime, but I've no idea what that means or where we stand haha, ain't that just the way!
So a bottle of rum later, I'd had a wicked night and so had everyone else, with Kez actually getting on his knees and worshipping me haha ^__^ Oh yeah, earlier in the night I was giving everyone little kisses to say thanks and then Tom complained because I bit his lip XD Was hilarious.

Now I need some ideas, with photos, of what I could do. It's got to fit my face shape too.
Oh yeah, I'm 18 now too! HUZZAH :)

the Wit
(57% dark, 19% spontaneous, 10% vulgar) |
your humor style: CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK
You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat.
I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer.
Your sense of humor takes the most thought to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.
You probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/.
